This page allows you to create a new user. This feature is only available for user granted with admin privileges.
Click on admin menu and Add User.
Open the page Add User in Jorani
The page "Create a new user" is now displayed. Most of the fields are mandatory. The optional fields allow using advanced reporting and filtering features in the application.
Enter the actual firstname and lastname of the employee as they appear in your HR records.
User role allows requesting a leave and accessing personal reports about the counters and calendar of leave taken. HR role allows accessing advanced features of the application such as editing the leaves taken by any employee or displaying advanced reports. As we will see further, this field doesn't allow to set the line manager of any employee.
The login will be used by the new user in order to access to Jorani application. The default value of this field is the first letter of the Firstname field concatenated with the Lastname field.
This field is very important as Jorani will send notifications by e-mail at main steps of the leave management workflows.
When you click on the select button, a pop-up appears, allowing you to select the line manager. This pop-up has a search text field, allowing you to quickly find an employee. Select a line in the table of employees and click OK. This employee will become the line manager of the new user. Please note that an employee can only have one line manager. If the line manager cannot validate a leave request, an employee may ask to the HR department to edit any leave request. If an employee has no line manager or if it can validate its own leave requests, click on the "Self" button.
A contract defines when the annual paid leaves start and end.
When you click on the select button, a pop-up appears, allowing you to select the entity of the user. Entities are organized into a tree of branches, subsidiaries, departements or teams depending on how the Jorani application has been configured. This pop-up has a search text field, allowing you to quickly find an entity. Select the entity of the user in the treeview and click OK.

With this optional field, you can set the date when an employee started to work. This can be helpful if you want to know if an employe can be entitled with seniority paid leaves. Please note that this field is optional and is not used by Jorani for any other purpose than to be displayed in the leave balance report.
With this optional field, you can enter any internal identifer. For example an identifier used in you Human Resource Management System. Please note that this field is optional and is not used by Jorani for any other purpose than to be displayed in the leave balance report.
The password will be used by the new user in order to access to Jorani application. The password you entered will be sent to the new user, providing you entered a valid e-mail address in the e-mail field. You can automatically generate a password or enter it manually. Once connected, the employee can change its password at any time.
